The Cliff House Hotel

Sometimes we need a break away. A quiet, calm location by the sea to recharge the batteries. The Cliff House Hotel did just that for me during the Christmas season.

Myself, my Sister Bernadette and friend Aine headed off to Co.Waterford on a Sunday afternoon. The cold, drizzly weather was a perfect excuse to hibernate for the next, two whole days.

A bottle of bubbly, fruit and chocolates awaited us in the most most gorgeous suite.

The champagne was popped, we quickly changed and headed for some dinner.

With our bellies full, we headed for the library to finish off the evening. A few pictures near the beautiful tree first though.

Waking to the sound of seagulls on the cliff side is the most amazing feeling ever and what a view to wake to...

After indulging in the best breakfast, a walk was defiantly needed. They even provide hunter wellies for the walk!

Spot the odd one out - you'd know I'd have brought my own!

After lunch it was time for the Spa

And their famous seaweed baths

After an afternoon of treatments we strolled back to the room in our robes and ordered room service, watched tv and had an early night. The perfect end to such a relaxation day.

A beautiful morning awaited us the following day, there was only one place to go... the hot tub!

We left The Cliff House feeling so relaxed. The sea air is always the best. It's a great escape for friends or a romantic getaway for couple's with the most unreal views.
