Last night, as a little treat for Ciara's birthday (Happy Birthday Ci) we attended an "Afternoon Tea" demonstration at Just Cooking. This fabulous cookery school is located in Firies Village, just outside Killarney. Founded by Mark & Bernie Doe, who have over 20 years experience in the food industry between them, it really is the perfect gift for a loved one or friend or a group looking for a great evening out.
We had so much fun, sipping wine and watching Mark demonstrate a perfect Afternoon Tea to create at home. Plus we got to taste all the lovely treats at the end of the night.
Mark, who has worked in the finest hotels - The Ritz, London, The Four Seasons, London and The QE2 Cruise Liner, made the evening very relaxed and simplified the recipes for us, talking through step by step.
I was so excited to hear we would be getting the scone recipe from The Ritz in London and yes, they were the best I ever tasted.
I can't wait to visit again for the Chef's Table night. A night with a group of friends, having a 6 course meal with wine included, it sounds like the perfect night for a catch up with the girls.
